Success of Sardinian wines in Piedmont


brilliant results achieved by the wines of Northern Sardinia to the recent national wine competition "Premio Douja d'Or 2008", now in its 36th edition, organized by the Chamber of Commerce of Asti. Among the wines Islanders who took part in the prestigious wine competition were awarded the Piedmont Tuvaoes Giovanni Maria Cherchi, the absolute and the Thilibas Pedres the cellar of John Mancini and children of Olbia, Canayli, Gemellae, Mavriana, Moscato di Sardegna and Templum, these products of the Gallura cellar Tempio.
The demonstration of a production that grows in terms of quality, is able to survive even in contexts of great wine-making tradition, such as Piedmont.
The competition was attended by 430 producers from all regions of Italy which have submitted 1122 wines. Of these 519 were selected.
The winners will be awarded in September during the 42nd National Exhibition of selected wines-Douja d'or
